Sketchup House

My most recent Sketchup project was a house, made with real house plans that I used for measurements. It was actually pretty fun to make, designing all of the different parts. The only hard part was the roof in its entirety. Raising the roof to different levels was pretty complicated to get right, and the arches above the windows were also fairly hard. In all, the project was pretty cool and turned out great, and I learned some new tricks from it.

Website Project

In Adobe Dreamweaver, I learned how to make a simple website. The Dreamweaver software made it easy to make, and I didn't need to use a lot of straight HTML. My only problems in making the website were not being able to find certain things, but I just asked people where they were and I finished pretty quickly. The website is very simple, but if I do Web next year, hopefully my work will get better.

SketchUp Projects

Google SketchUp is the most recent tool i've used in Animation. It's the first 3-D tool we've used and is pretty cool and easy to use once you get used to the 3-Dimensional space it uses. The first serious project I made was a table and chairs. They turned out pretty good, especially with the Follow Me tool allowing me to make the legs rounded and symmetrical. The only problem, which I only realized recently, is that the table is a bit big compared to Steve, the reference figure. This was fixed in my second project, a dog house, where I had dimensions to go off of, which made the final result look much
 better. In this project, I figured out how to better combine lines and shapes, as well as how to make spheres, as seen in the ball on the ground.

Written Name Animation

I made another animation using my name, this time using the Frame Timeline to draw out my name. I learned how to use the Effects panel to make the shadow at the end.

Description Words Animation

In this Photoshop project, I made another animation, this time using the video timeline. I used keyframes to make the animation smoother and easier to make. I also made a Youtube channel to post animations on. The embedded quality isn't as good as on Youtube. Sorry!

    

Bouncing with Arcs

I made another bouncing ball animation, this time using more animation principles to make a more realistic (sort of) and better looking. In addition to Squash and Stretch, I used Anticipation, Arcs, Ease in/Ease out, Follow Through, and possibly Exaggeration. At the end, Follow Through is used to swing the ball's momentum into the force pulling him into the top. Ease In/Ease Out is used throughout to show speed and gravity.

My Personality Type

In taking the Myers-Briggs Personality Test, I got INTJ: Introvert, Intuitive, Thinking, and Judging. I understand all of these and upon looking into this more, got seriously creeped out about how spot on it is. I totally get why I got introversion; I usually prefer working alone. I wasn't sure whether I'd get "N" or "S", but seeing the results, I do tend to think ahead in problems. The final letter, J, for Judging, is about right. I really value order, so I understand this.

INTJ's are relaxed and quiet, which is totally me, and like strategy and how things work. On the other side of things, INTJ's point out peoples' problems and don't take well to opposing opinions. A lot of famous INTJ's are smart scientists or philosophers, like Stephen Hawking, Karl Marx, or Ayn Rand. My personality is also called "The Mastermind", so Moriarty from Sherlock Holmes is an INTJ, too.

My family sometimes says that I'm antisocial (I don't believe them), which could come from different personalities. My mom is definitely an Extrovert, so I think that she just thinks differently. As another note, my disagreeing with them is another INTJ trait.

I also took the "Lion, Otter, Golden Retriever, Beaver" test, and got Beaver. Beavers are perfectionistic, like me, and need order and peace in the world. I don't think I need to say much more.
